From Overwhelmed and Time-strapped to Done in this Lifetime
You've got a home that doesn't quite work the way you need it to and you're done living around the problem.
Maybe you're renovating. Maybe you're furnishing a space from scratch. Maybe you just want it done, competently, without spending the next two years managing it yourself.
That's exactly what I do.
Denine Jackson Interiors offers full-service interior design for renovation, new construction, and furnishings projects throughout Buffalo, NY and Western New York. Every engagement begins with a Home Design Evaluation — a structured session that gives us both clarity before a single dollar gets spent.
What Working with Me Looks Like
-
We start here, always. In a 90-minute session, I assess your home, map your priorities, and build the strategic foundation your project needs. You leave with a written summary and a clear next step — not a guess.
-
If we're a fit, I put together a detailed scope: what needs to happen, in what order, and what it will cost. No surprises buried in change orders later.
-
This is where the vision takes shape — layout, materials, finishes, furnishings. I curate the options so every decision in front of you is already a good one.
-
For renovations, I liaise directly with your contractor and trades, translating design intent into documentation they can build from. For furnishings, I manage sourcing, purchasing, and delivery. Either way, you're not chasing vendors or managing logistics.
-
You arrive on installation day to a finished space. This is the part clients tell me feels like magic — because by this point, it should.
-
Furnishings-only projects typically move faster than renovations, often within a few months depending on lead times. Renovation and new construction timelines vary based on scope, but I'll give you a realistic projection during your Home Design Evaluation — not a vague "it depends."
Renovation and New Construction Design
Full-service design for homeowners renovating or building new. My work covers the decisions that happen before a contractor ever picks up a tool — and the coordination that keeps those decisions intact once they do. My Cornell engineering background means I think in systems: I catch conflicts before they become expensive change orders, and I speak fluently enough with your trades that nothing gets lost in translation.
What this includes:
Layout logic and space planning
Material, finish, and fixture selections
Design intent documentation for contractors
Project liaison and contractor communication
Sequencing guidance so decisions happen in the right order
Pre-project evaluation and scope mapping
Furnishings-Only Design
A fully managed furnishings experience for homeowners who want a beautifully finished space without doing the legwork themselves. I handle everything — space planning, sourcing, purchasing, delivery, and final styling.
What this includes:
Space planning and furniture layout
Full product sourcing and selection
Purchasing and procurement management
Delivery coordination and installation
Final styling
“Denine was fantastic helping me pick out furniture for a new home. She saw my vision, looked at the space, and helped me choose pieces that actually fit our budget and our style. I'd work with her again without hesitation.”

Common Questions Before You Reach Out
Still have questions? Check out the FAQ, or reach out anytime and I'm happy to help. If you're ready to get started, let's schedule your Home Design Evaluation.
-
I take on smaller-scope projects as they fit my schedule. It never hurts to inquire — I'll tell you honestly if it's a fit.
-
If you move forward with me as your designer, all products are purchased through me. This keeps your project, your budget, and your vendor relationships protected and accountable to one source.
-
I can help coordinate contractor interviews, but the choice to hire is always yours. What I bring is the documentation that helps any contractor understand your vision clearly enough to bid and build accurately.
-
Not if you want an accurate bid. A contractor needs to know exactly what you want before they can price it properly and that's where my documentation does the heavy lifting, for both of you.
-
It means I design the room, source and purchase the selections, and manage installation. You approve and pay. That's it.
Where I Work
I work with homeowners throughout Buffalo, New York and Western New York, including Clarence, East Amherst, Williamsville, Orchard Park, Kenmore, and East Aurora. Out-of-area projects are considered by inquiry and follow the same Home Design Evaluation process.
Every Project Starts With a Home Design Evaluation.
Before any design work begins, every client goes through a Home Design Evaluation — a 90-minute session where we get clear on what your home actually needs, in what order, and what it's going to take to get there. It's the smartest first step you can take before spending a dollar on renovation or furnishings.
Submit an inquiry to get started. I personally review every submission to confirm it's the right fit — there's no pressure, and no obligation, just an honest read on whether I'm the right person for your project.
As a general guide, furnishings-only projects typically start around a $10,000 investment, and renovation or new construction projects typically start around $25,000. Every project is different, and the Home Design Evaluation is where we figure out what yours actually needs.
Smaller-scope projects are considered as my schedule allows. If you're not sure whether your project qualifies, just ask.
